📅 12/05/2024
It’s International Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Awareness Day.
This day has special significance as it coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the pioneering nurse and statistician who faced her own battles with chronic illness. Although she lived in a time before ME/CFS was defined, many medical historians speculate that Nightingale experienced symptoms similar to this complex condition.
Let’s honour her legacy by raising awareness, supporting research and advocating for a better understanding of ME/CFS.
Living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) isn’t just about feeling tired – it’s a daily battle against overwhelming exhaustion that can’t be cured by a good night’s sleep.
It’s time to raise awareness and support those who silently struggle with this misunderstood condition.
Let’s spread understanding and empathy to shed light on CFS and show solidarity with those fighting this invisible but very real battle!
