📅 22/07/2024 – It’s World Brain Day 2024!
Today, let’s raise awareness about brain health and the impact of Long COVID.
Many people living with Long COVID experience various cognitive challenges as part of their Long COVID journey, including memory loss, difficulty concentrating, mental fatigue, and brain fog. Nearly 40 percent of Long COVID patients experience brain fog, which can last for weeks, months or years. The exact causes of the neurological symptoms are not yet fully understood.
For this reason, the Long COVID Project is investigating possible causes of the neurological symptoms in Long COVID and possible routes of infection. To do this, the Long COVID Project is investigating different approaches from brain cells, to human mini-brains and pre-clinical models.
Let’s unite and work together to support the ongoing research and improve the lives of those affected by Long COVID!
