In partnership with Patient-Led Research Collaborative, #MEAction has published its new Clinician’s Pacing Guide.
#MEAction is an international organisation that works to develop and support a global network of individual advocates, local and affinity groups, city and state chapters, and country affiliates. The #MEAction network includes people with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), caregivers, family members and allies.
The #MEAction Pacing Guides discuss pacing, a self-management strategy for activity useful in infection-associated chronic illnesses like ME/CFS and Long COVID, where post-exertional malaise (PEM) is a feature.
This updated version has cited resources for clinicians. With both patients and clinicians in mind, #MEAction believes this resource will be useful to providing education to clinicians who are just learning about post-exertional malaise (PEM), as well as clinicians who want to dig deeper.
