Long Covid Clinical Severity Types Based on Symptoms and Functional Disability: A Longitudinal Evaluation

A study led by the University of Leeds has recently been posted to The Lancet, where researchers followed up individuals with Long COVID, throughout a longitudinal study.

„This is the first study in the literature to show the consistency of the three clinical severity types over time with patients also switching between severity types indicating the fluctuating nature of LC.“

The fluctuation of the Long COVID symptoms over time found by this study is a challenge for treatment approaches.
