Cerebral hypoperfusion in post-COVID-19 cognitively impaired subjects revealed by arterial spin labeling MRI

A study recently published by Scientific Reports (Nature) identified a significative alteration of cerebral perfusion pattern in post-COVID-19 subjects who reported cognitive deficit by using a non-invasive ASL-MRI perfusion imaging technique and analysis.

Significant reduced blood flow was observed predominantly in bilateral frontal, as well as in temporal, and parietal areas compared to healthy subjects.
