Long COVID: pathophysiological factors and abnormalities of coagulation

This excellent new Long COVID review paper has just been published by the Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism journal.

In this paper, Etheresia Petrorius and her co-authors discuss the multifactorial nature of Long COVID and the role of its multiple pathophysiological factors, highlighting how various factors culminate in the long-term persistence of the disorder.

The paper also suggests a multipronged treatment agenda for Long COVID treatment trials, incorporating drugs targeting all potential mechanisms, with endothelialitis and coagulation abnormalities as two priorities.
